What is the difference between EC motor fan and AC motor fan?
1. EC brushless motor fan：: Support built‑in 0‑10V / PWM stepless speed control, no external VFD required. High energy‑saving especially at low speed, widely used for smart livestock farms. Most models reach IP66 protection. 2. AC induction motor fan: Fixed‑speed as standard. External VFD drive is required if you need speed adjustment. Robust structure for 24/7 continuous operation with competitive cost. Same‑size EC & AC fans share identical housing dimension for field replacement, but control system is NOT interchangeable.
What does IP66 mean? Can fans work in humid & dusty livestock barn?
IP66 means complete dust‑tight, and resistant to high‑pressure water jet. IP66 fans can work under high‑humidity and heavy‑dust farm condition, allow high‑pressure water jet cleaning. Do NOT spray water directly into motor terminal box. Some AC models are IP55, please check datasheet.
Venturi fan / Box‑shutter fan / High‑pressure fan, how to choose?
‑ Venturi fan(ZMD series): Optimized for long air throw distance, suitable for barns without high system resistance. ‑ Box‑shutter fan(ZMB series): Built‑in auto rain shutter, thin cabinet, easy wall‑embedded installation without extra accessories. ‑ High‑pressure fan(ZP series): Higher static pressure capacity, ideal for projects with cooling pad or long air duct with big system resistance.
How to control EC fan speed? Do I need extra controller?
ur EC fans accept 0‑10V or PWM speed signal, compatible with livestock environment controller. It can run at full speed without speed signal. ⚠️ DO NOT connect EC fan to VFD frequency converter, it will burn out EC motor. VFD is only for AC fan speed regulation.
What is standard voltage? Can you supply 220V single‑phase fan?
Most large‑size livestock fans (18‑57 inch) are **380V 3‑phase** as standard. Partial small‑size models support 220V single‑phase. Single‑phase version can be custom‑made for selected models, please confirm before placing order.
How to read fan performance curve for project selection?
X‑axis = static pressure (Pa, system resistance from cooling pad / duct). Y‑axis = air volume (m³/h). Do NOT only refer to free‑air volume at 0 Pa. You must check real airflow under actual project static pressure. Datasheet includes full performance curve for every model, we also provide selection support.
Can these fans run 24/7 non‑stop?
AC‑motor fans are designed for 24‑hour continuous operation. EC‑motor fans also support long‑time running. Please keep motor clean & dry and inspect wiring termials regularly.
Do you have CE certification for EU market?
Standard models are CE certified. CE document can be supplied upon request. Other regional certificates can be discussed.
Can you offer OEM / ODM custom service?
Yes, we support OEM logo printing. Custom voltage or mounting hole modification is available for bulk orders. Small orders follow standard specifications.
What is your warranty policy?
12‑month warranty for standard products against non‑artificial damage (exclude wearing parts). Remote technical support is available. Spare parts can be shipped quickly. Damage caused by wrong wiring, water intrusion or physical impact is out of warranty scope.
Does bigger inch mean bigger airflow?
Inch size stands for impeller diameter. Normally larger inch brings bigger free airflow. But static‑pressure performance also depends on fan housing & motor. Never select fan only by inch size; always refer to performance curve with real‑site resistance.
What information do you need for fan selection suggestion?
Please provide: livestock type(poultry / pig / greenhouse), barn dimension(length×width×height), estimated static pressure (cooling pad / duct or not), target total airflow, power supply voltage, motor preference EC or AC, installation type (venturi / box‑shutter / high‑pressure).
